Mrs. Rachel Ann Marshall Snell, a life-long resident of Ariton, died Monday, November 8, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. She was 73 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Snell will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 13, 2021, from Bethel Assembly of God Church in Ariton with Pastor Jeff Downing officiating. Interment will follow in Ariton Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mrs. Snell was born April 11, 1948 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Judson Elmer Marshall and Elizabeth Rachel Brown Marshall. She worked with the Bank of Ozark and Wells Fargo Bank in Ozark for a total of twenty-five years until her retirement. Mrs. Snell was an active member of Bethel Assembly of God Church where she served in many areas including being the pianist for fifty years. She enjoyed expressing her creative side through her sewing, painting and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Judson Elmer Marshall, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Archie Leon Snell; two sons, Christopher Leon Snell (Laura) and William Archie Snell (Tiffany) all of Ariton; grandchildren, Jonathan Guisinger, Nicholas Guisinger, Morgan Elizabeth Snell, Marshall Judson Snell and Molly Katherine Snell; great grandchildren, Haley Sigers, Laken Guisinger, Lexi Guisinger, Charlie Guisinger and Olivia Guisinger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God Church, 7437 Alabama Hwy 51, Ariton, Alabama 36311; or to Ariton Cemetery Fund, C/O Mr. Earl Thompson, 7147 Alabama Hwy 51, Ariton, Alabama 36311.
