OZARK…Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Wells, a resident of Ozark, died early Thursday morning, September 2, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. She was 68.


            Private family services will be held at a later date. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, PO Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.


            Mrs. Wells, daughter of the late Horace Tew and Annie Ruth Davis Tew, was a native of Brundidge, Alabama and has lived most of her adult life in Ozark.  She was a graduate of Pike County High School. Mrs. Wells was currently employed with the Ozark City School Systems as the Student Office Secretary at Carroll High School. She was an avid Auburn University Football fan. Mrs. Wells was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Brundidge. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Tew.


            Surviving relatives include her daughter, Rebecca Wells (Eli Usry), Ozark; sister-in-law, Pat Tew, Brundidge; nephews, Brady Tew (Loren) and Jarred Tew (Allison); her special friends from the “WB” group, Sheila Outlaw, Cindy Brownfield, Carol Hohbach, Juli Parrish, Jacqueline Kelley, and Cindy Garrison.
