   Mrs. Shirley Davis Reeners, a resident of Ozark, died Friday evening June 2, 2023 in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 88 years.

   In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no public services for Mrs. Reeners. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements.

   Mrs. Reeners was born July 30, 1934 in Rochester, New York to the late Arthur Davis and Anna Hartman Davis. She moved to Huntsville in 1971 and to Ozark in 1996. She was a devout Christian and a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark. Shirley loved animals and crafts.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Reeners; one sister, Dorothy Jenkins; and one brother, Michael Argus. She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Pierce (Steve) of Huntsville; two sons, Daniel Reeners (Donna) of Ozark, Steve Reeners (Dawn) of Huntsville; one sister, Sandy Argus of Rochester, New York; one brother, Donald Argus (Lynn) of Orlando, Florida. Five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Attn: Tribute Department, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105; or to Children’s Hospital, 1600 7th Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama 35233.
