Shirley Louise Proctor Batteiger, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, January 5, 2024 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. She was 81.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in the Chapel at Harvest Church with Pastor Larry Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM.

Shirley was born March 4, 1942 in Apalachicola, Florida to the late Clarence and Minnie Proctor.

She lived in Apalachicola and Panama City, Florida before moving to Dothan about 30 years ago. Shirley had a love for her family, cooking, reading and animals.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Robert Batteiger; son, Russell Batteiger; and three sisters.

Survivors include her children, Tim Batteiger (Claire), Tiffany Fraioli (Jason), Leslie Winkle; grandson, Russell Clay Batteiger.
