Mrs. Susan Cason Scott, of Cottonwood, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after a courageous battle with liver cancer.


Born June 11, 1960 in Pinellas County, Florida to the late Allen “Buster” Cason and Eunice Maxine Odom Cason, Susan was a prominent leader in the communities of Cottonwood and Dothan. She was a successful real estate broker and attended Wiregrass Church. Susan was generous, loving, kind, and a friend to those who knew her. She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister.


She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis Scott; her daughter, Joyce Scott; her brother, Frank Cason; her sisters, Virginia Yates and Joyce Toombs (Walt); many nieces, nephews, and other family members, and countless friends.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church in Dothan. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, prior to the service.
