Mrs. Susan Elaine Crumpler Peak of Clark Road, Black, Alabama passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 55.


 


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Brian Presley officiating and her brother Bobby Crumpler delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Cemetery in Holmes County with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 26, from 6 until 8 p.m.


 


Elaine was born April 2, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late R.C. Crumpler and Bernell Jerkins Crumpler DeLidle.  She worked as a loan officer for the USDA.  She was a very loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother.  She was of the Baptist faith.


 


In addition to her parents, a sister, Linda Bacon, preceded her in death.


 


Survivors include her husband, Ewell A. “Tony” Peak, Black; one son, Ewell A. Peak, Jr., Orlando, FL; two daughters: April Marie Peak, Black, Lora A. Newman, Geneva; six grandchildren: Brandon Forrest Newman, Carson Lee McCrummen, Brianne Young, Destiny Peak, Austin Peak and Hunter Peak; three sisters: Layla Holloway and Mary Ann Johnston, both of Atlanta, GA, Bertie Welch, Wicksburg; four brothers: Bobby Crumpler, Enterprise, Curtis Crumpler, Athens, AL, Mike DeLidle and Mark DeLlidle; several nieces, nephews and other extended family; special friends: Pat Sellers, Susan Mims, Hope Smith, Amie Gibson and Marilyn Linville.


 


The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice RN, Shawn Schmidt and the other staff.
