Obituary: Mrs. Thelma Eloise Free

 

Mrs. Thelma Eloise Free of Ashford passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her home. She was 76.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb. Burial will follow in the Burns Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Free was born October 26, 1943 in Geneva County to the late Charlie and Eunice Nichols Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and father of her children, Raymond Thornton; two grandchildren: Rodney Bell Jr. and Jason Adkins; two sisters: Gladys Thompson, and Virginia Bush; four brothers: Wayne Earl, Raymond, Ray, and Frank Adams.

 

Survivors include daughters: Rhonda Tice, Roselyn Fuller (Joe), Becky Webb (Jimmy Smith), Marie Hunter, and Gayle Bell (Duane); 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen Adkins; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
