Mrs. Weleska Fay “Nonnie Fay” Weeks, age 90, of Hwy 81 Westville, FL, passed away, Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the home of her daughter.   


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Enterprise Chapel with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Beulah Anna Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville, FL with Rev. Danny Gill officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the following: Beulah Anna Baptist Church, c/o Loretta Spears, 1371 Coursey Road, Westville, FL 32464 or Park Memorial United Methodist Church, PO Box 1291, Troy, AL 36081.


Mrs. Weeks was born September 13, 1932 in the Hurricane Creek Community to the late John Thomas and Annie Lee Andrews.  She was the baby.  She was lovingly called Nonnie Fay by her grandchildren, relatives and friends.  She was known for her pecan pie, egg custard and fried pies (tarts).  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Marcus Eugene (Gene) Weeks, granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Belcher and two sisters Janie Ruth Wicks and Exie Lou Andrews.


She attended Ponce de Leon High School and Chipola College.  She was employed by the Holmes County Board of Education and worked at Ponce de Leon Elementary School until retirement.  She was a lifelong member of Beulah Anna Baptist Church.  She was a proud member of the Eastern Star in the New Hope Community. 


Survivors include her daughter, Gilda Jean Belcher (John), Troy, AL; granddaughters, Emily Brookins, Troy, AL; Laura Tillis (Bryan), Enterprise, AL; great-grandchildren, Kade Brookins, Zane Brookins, Amy Katherine Tillis and Scout Elizabeth Tillis; brother-in-law, Jack Weeks (Tommie), Melbourne, FL; several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Kade Brookins, Zane Brookins, Bryan Tillis, Hayward Hornsby, John Hornsby, John Owens and John Weeks.
