Mrs. Willie Pearl Hughes of Dothan died Monday, January 30, 2012, at her residence. She was 80.

 

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Rehobeth City Cemetery with Reverend John Sanders officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2012.Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mrs. Hughes was born August 13, 1931, in Henry County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Robert Early Chappell and Dollie Inez Davis Chappell. She was a lifelong resident of Houston County and retired after 28 years of service with Meadowgold.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Raymond Earl Chappell, Robert Herman Chappell, and a sister, Maddie Evelyn Cooley.

 

Survivors include two sisters, Christine Barb of Dothan; Faye Martin of Mobile; two brothers, John W. Chappell of Dothan; Durwood Ross Chappell of Dothan; and several nieces and nephews.
