Betty Faye Skipper Martin, a lifelong resident of Dothan, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Sonia, surrounded by family on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the age of 90.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Sanders and Reverend Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 19, 2024, one hour prior to the service.

Betty was born June 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Rush and Ethel (Pittman) Skipper.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Martin, brothers Ellis Skipper, Frank Skipper, and Ruel Skipper.

She is survived by her daughters Sheila Parker of Dothan; Sharon Martin of Birmingham; Sonia Vishneski (Lee, CW3 US Army Retired) of Shawsville, VA; grandchildren Kandace Parker-Applegate (Joseph); Joseph Vishneski; Dustin Parker (Kaitlin); Sgt. Jordan Vishneski, US Army (Lexie); Audrey Payton Vishneski; John Martin Vishneski; great-grandchildren Kayleb Martin Parker; Leela Faye Vishneski; Londyn Estelle Vishneski; Gracelyn Elaina Parker; Stella Sage Vishneski; and sister Ann Coulter.

Pallbearers will be: CW3 Lee Vishneski (Ret US Army);  Joseph Vishneski; Dustin Parker; Sgt. Jordan Vishneski (US Army); John Martin Vishneski; and Kayleb Martin Parker.
