Betty June Holmes, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday December 7, 2011 at SHC of North Florida in Graceville, Florida. She was 77.

Graveside services for Mrs. Holmes will be held at 1 PM Friday December 9, 2011 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Robert Knight, Jr., and Reverend Stacy Stafford officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the: Wiregrass Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Dothan, AL 36302.

Mrs. Holmes was born January 21, 1934 to Adus E. and Lois Spooner Fulford and was a lifelong resident of Dothan. She retired as an Administrative Assistant to the Houston County Commission.

Mrs. Holmes is survived by a son, Billy Holmes; two grandchildren, Harrison and Gracie Holmes; aunt and uncle, Jeanette and Ed Ray; cousins, Joe Ray, James Allen Adkinson, Kathy Hasty and Mary Crane.
