Ms. Frankie Joyce Gilmore Hawthorne of Hartford, Alabama passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012.  She was 67.

 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Tracy Hobbs officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continue until service time.

 

Ms. Hawthorne was born November 28, 1944, in Geneva County, Alabama.  She was known to her family as Momma and Grandmomma.  She was loved by everyone and will be truly missed.

 

Her father, J. H. Gilmore, and a sister, Sarah Kirkland, preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her mother, Ouida Mae Gilmore; one son, Jerome Lindsay (Donna), all of Hartford; two daughters: Dianne Morris (Raymond), Opp and Christy Gilley (Shelton), Hartford; ten grandchildren: Albert Daum, Katie Hobbs (Clay), Becky Williamson (Troy), Justin Coker (Britney), Amanda Lindsay, Travis Coker (Tammy), Landon Lindsay, Lindsay Gilley, Bryce and Brayden Gilley; nine great-grandchildren: Nathan, Tyler, Andrew and Alayna Hobbs, Ally, Eli and Abby Williamson, Lexis Coker and Bailey Lindsay; three brothers: John Gilmore, Dothan, Frank Gilmore (Betty), Hartford and Ray Gilmore (Imogene), Bowling Green, FL; two sisters: Emily Wilkerson, Hartford and Jo Smith (Johnny), Geneva; several nieces, nephews and many other friends and loved ones.
