Johnie Lee Jones Ray, formerly of Pinckard, AL passed away on July 17, 2023 at Westside Terrace, Dothan AL. She was 98 Years old.

A private service was held at Christian Home Church of Christ Cemetery, Wicksburg, Alabama.

Johnie was born on 20 Oct 1924 in Geneva County, AL to the late Theo Jones and Otis Williford Jones Mathis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard D. Ray; and eighteen step- and half-siblings.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Doug) Johnson of Dothan, and Tim (Sharon) Ray of

Montevallo, AL; three grandchildren, Wes Johnson, Dothan, Connie (Tom) Bell, Blakely GA, and Kathryn (Zach) Jones, Indianapolis, IN; three great-grandchildren, Jessica (Isaac) Cyr, Newport, VT, Danielle (Samuel) Emfinger, Jr. Dothan, and Joey Johnson, Lebanon, OR; one great-great grandson, Roman Martinez, Dothan; her sister, Voncile Vinson, Malvern, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
