Dothan....Ms. Laura Martin passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023, after a prolonged illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Highway in Dothan). Visitation begins at 10:00am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30am. Family and friends are welcome.

Born August 17, 1951, in Dothan, Alabama, Laura was a member of the Dothan High School 1969 graduating class and resided in the Dothan area throughout her life. A devout Christian, Laura cared deeply for her family. She was also a loyal companion to animals and loved caring for puppies and dogs. Her kind, compassionate, feisty, and funny ways will be greatly missed.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Martin; twin sister, Jenny Brown; niece, Hannah Brown; and nephews, Obie Rice and Brent Martin. She is survived by her mother, Martha Martin; sisters, Martha Sue Martin and Kitrina Rice; brother, Michael Martin; nieces, Amber Hancock, Leslie Dulaney, and Natalie Hilbert; and nephews, Will Thompson and Phillip Brown.
