Myra Faye Brackin, 98, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 17, 1920 in Houston County to the late K. A. Tidwell and Flossie Tidwell (Tew). 


Myra was a loving and devoted mother, and grandmother who took great pleasure in spending time with her family. She was proud to be a Charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and was known for making delicious pound cakes. Her favorite flower was a rose. The family appreciates the love and care provided by Kindred Hospice and a special thank you to her care giver Mildred Wages.


Funeral Service 11 AM, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service, burial to follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.


Myra was preceded in death by her husband: L.F. Brackin, brother: Calvin and La Bruce Tidwell.


Survivors include her children: Jackie Segrest (Tony), Charlotte Miller (Kenneth), Steve Brackin (Felecia), and Wayne Brackin (Linda); ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.


In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to: Kindred Hospice or Calvary Baptist Church.
