ABBEVILLE. . .Naomi Davis Hardamon, a resident of Abbeville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday afternoon, July 30, 2021, at her home. She was 94.

   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor James Truitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary. Social distancing and masks will be observed.

   Ms. Hardamon was born and reared in Henry County, near Abbeville, daughter of the late Charlie Davis and Georgia Carter Davis. She lived in Abbeville all her lifetime and was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Hardamon was retired from the Henry County Hospital as Dietary Manager. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Hardamon, two sisters, Eunice Peterman and Jewel Bagley and two brothers, Albert Davis and Lester Davis.

   Surviving relatives include a son, Larry Hardamon (Minnie Rean), Abbeville; two daughters, Nancy Carruthers (Jimmy), Abbeville; and Gloria Fields (Bernie), Birmingham; a sister, Ida Ruth Danzey, Abbeville; eleven grandchildren, Roberta Hardamon, Erica Freeman (Andra), Terance Hardamon (Chris), Gregory Brown (Dana), Monique Hardamon, Danetta Wood, Christopher Hardamon, Denise Smith (Garland), Jewana “Bell” Fields, Brandon Fields (Beaonica), and Jeremy Carruthers; twenty-two great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

   The family would like to express their appreciation to caregivers, Stella Mae Goodson, Carol Jolly Engram and Angelia “Niecy” Tate for the loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Hardamon during her illness.
