Obituary:  Nelda Jean Hughes

 

Mrs. Nelda Jean Hughes, of Midland City, Alabama, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at her residence.  She was 82.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Leon Adams officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until the time of service.

Nelda was born November 22, 1940 to the late Hosie and Nobie Lee Foreman Adams.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Allan Paulk; and sisters, Ellen Dannley, Gearldine Murphy, Glenda Wenschhof, Helen Owens, and Peggy Johnson.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Paulk, William Paulk, and Connie Paulk; brothers, Tony Adams (Carol), Terry Adams (Sara Jo), and Ted Adams (Jeannie); grandchildren, Ambria Barber (Chris), Jamie Paulk (Breana), and Katie Paulk; and great-grandchildren, Shelby and Connor Barber, and Tristen and Elijah Reeves.
