NEWVILLE. . .Nelda Pierce Roundtree, a resident of Newville, died late Sunday night, June 7, 2020, at her home. She was 68.

     There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time.

     Ms. Roundtree was born in Mead, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Pierce and Martha Pruett Pierce. She formerly lived in Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Newville. Ms. Roundtree was formerly employed by the Sam Rayburn V.A. Medical Center in Bonham, Texas as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

     Surviving relatives include a son, Nathaniel “Nate” Johnson (Dawn), Headland; three sisters, Donna Carter, Tommie Jean Crone and Pat Meadows, and a brother, Terry Pierce; a grandson, Brody Johnson.
