Nell J. Bridges of Geneva, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 88 in Pensacola at the home of her daughter following a brief illness.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 30,2021 in the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, Geneva, Alabama with Rev. Wade Green officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held Monday beginning at 1:00 pm and continue until service time.

 

Nell was born March 31,1933 in Black, Alabama to the late Ira Barner and Annie Rebecca Spann McDonald.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Nell retired from Van Heusen after 42 years of service.  She was an avid fan of Alabama Football and enjoyed shopping.

 

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tyce Bridges; siblings: Wilburn McDonald, Yvonne Dunn, Joann McKaig, and Jack Wayne McDonald.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Lill (John) of Pensacola, FL: two grandchildren: John Paul Lill (Doris) of Tampa, FL and Jason Lill of Chapel Hill, NC; three great-grandchildren: Katie Lill, Jonah Lill and Eli Lill: one sister: Ira Norsworthy of Geneva, AL.
