Nellie Marie Dunn passed away Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home. She was 85.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in the Travelers Rest cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral.

Nellie was born October 26, 1931 in Geneva County to the late James Joel and Dora Lavada Hornsby Maloy.  She loved her job as a nurse and her hospital family, loved mowing her grass and working in her flower beds.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was a member of Hacoda Baptist Church where they were blessed to have had her as a member.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Alfred Dunn, one son: Jim Dunn, two sisters:  Inez Hammond and Duva Maloy, three brothers:  Carl Maloy, Durwood Maloy and Gene Maloy.

She is survived by her daughter: Sharon Dunn Williams (Anthony “Tony”) of Hacoda, Al., four grandchildren:  Richard Jay McCall, Samson, Al, Christopher John Williams, Gulf Breeze, Fl. Thomas Glenn Williams, Alexandria, Va., and Jacob Dunn, Vestavia Hills, Al., six great-grandchildren: Hunter Brown Roy, Aeriel Williams, Bryce Williams, Josh Williams, Toa Williams and Vasa Williams. One sister-in-law: Carma Leta Maloy and several nieces and nephews.
