Nellie Ruth Smith Creech of Geneva, AL passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was 84 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in the Beda Baptist Church Cemetery in Wing, AL with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Creech was born in Wing, AL on February 22, 1936 to the late Holley and Florence Smith. Mrs. Creech enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, hunting, and working puzzles. She believed in hard work and was not afraid to get her hands dirty. She loved her family dearly, but she did not mind telling them what to do and how to do it.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Creech; husband, Lavoice Creech; and three sisters.

She is survived by one son, Ronnie Creech (Brenda) of Geneva, AL; two grandchildren, Kerry Revell (Chris) of Montgomery, AL, and Shane Creech (Stephanie) of Geneva, AL; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Sheyanne Creech both of Geneva, AL; and four brothers and sisters.
