Nellie Vee Hornsby Nichols, age 81, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.  She was born in Kinston, AL on June 13, 1939 to the late John & Vera Hornsby.  She resided in New Orleans, LA for 61 years.  She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother.  She loved to make people laugh and cherished her family and friends.  She is survived by her husband, Charles “Bob” Nichols of 65 years; daughters Linda N. Brown and Sandra Nichols; granddaughter Jennifer Brown Barron (Kraig); five great-grandsons: Grayson, Benjamin, Sawyer, Parker & Finn Barron; sister Marie Mahon and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Sean Brown, sister Johnnie Faye Early and brother John Henry Hornsby, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, 2744 W. Magnolia Ave., Geneva, AL, on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Visitation beginning at 10:30 am with services at noon.  Burial following at Marvin Chapel with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
