Nicholas Alexander “Alex” Kontos of Eufaula, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. He was 45 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with the Rev. Steven Doss officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Alex was born in Columbus, GA on December 13, 1978. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1997 and later graduated from Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK with a degree in youth ministry. Alex worked in the ministry for several years before moving to Memphis, TN where he worked at Buck Gardner making duck calls. Later Alex returned to Eufaula and was employed at Eagle Eye Outfitters in Dothan. Alex had a passion for duck hunting, Labrador Retrievers, horse racing, and enjoyed quiet time enjoying fine cigars and coffee. Alex enjoyed the simple things in life but also enjoyed being his own trendy self. Alex had an intense love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now in the arms of his Creator.

His love for his family and friends ran deep and he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thedore Nicholas Kontos and Geraldine Anthony Kontos; maternal grandfather, Timothy Richard Milton; and uncle, Roger Paul Ingalls.

He is survived by his father, Nicholas Theodore “Nick” Kontos of Eufaula, AL; mother, Debbie Milton Williamson (John) of Eufaula, AL; maternal grandmother, JoAnn Milton of Geneva, AL; aunts, Kathy Ingalls of Geneva, AL, Pam Kontos Smith (Terry) of Headland, AL; cousins, Dustin Radloff (Sarah) of Tulsa, OK, Jacob Ingalls (Sharon) of Geneva, AL, and Johnna Kay Ingalls of Montgomery, AL.
