Norman H. Fancher, a resident of Midland City, Alabama, passed away in peace to meet his Lord. Saturday, February 18, 2012. He was 87.


 


Funeral services will be held at 11 A. M. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Corinth Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Miller officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, 2011 from 6 until 8 P. M.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank.


 


Mr. Fancher was born in Buffalo, New York on August 2, 1924 to Harold B. and Florence Fancher. He was a member of the 101 st. Airborne Division in World War II.


 


Survivors include his wife; Elizabeth Fancher, Midland City;  Son, Jay Fancher and wife Carol of Lancaster, Ky.; Daughters, Christine Carron and husband Roger of East Aurora, New York and Gail Kingsley of Midland City, Alabama. One sister, Faye Smyers of Shelby Township, MI


Eleven grandchildren and Twenty Two Great Grandchildren.
