Mr. Norman Lee Berry, age 85, of Bonifay, Florida passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at home in Bonifay. He was born August 5, 1937, in Bonifay, Florida to the late J.D. Berry and Ruby Eileen Tucker Berry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rev. Scott Crooms officiating. Burial will follow in Whitewater Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. 

Preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Steverson, brother-in-law, Eugene Steverson, and grandson Stacy Powell.

Mr. Berry was a natural at farming, where he managed and maintained 200+ blueberry bushes and became a staple of providing blueberries within the community. He had a passion for big trucks, which drove him to become a diesel mechanic for Fleming Foods until he retired in 1987. He was living his best life as a husband, father, and grandfather, to include enjoying the pleasures of fishing lake Eufaula and Black Creek for mullet. He thoroughly enjoyed bluegrass music, working in the yard and a deep love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Norman Lee Berry was a perpetual member of the Bethlehem Masonic Lodge. He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on April 17, 1999. Brother Berry served as worshipful master in 2004 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016. 

Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Joann Berry of Bonifay, FL; one son, Kenneth Berry of Geneva, AL, six daughters, Patty (Ray) McCormick of Freeport, FL, Lisa (Joey) Powell of Enterprise, AL, Robbie Mitchell of Guntersville, AL, Pam Carmichael of Enterprise, AL, Wanda (Rodney) Pope of Bonifay, FL, and Sandra (Todd) Ausley of Geneva, AL: one sister, Wanda (Billy) Steverson; grandchildren, Jason (Joanna) Berry, Spencer (Lauren) Wise, Maci Wilks, Callie (Lee) Sisk, Kaitlyn (Tyler) Walker, Kailey (Brad) Horne, Savannah Mitchell, Tyler (Morgan) Mitchell, MaryBeth Carmichael, Ali (Jacob) Qualls, Dylan (Kassyn) Pope, and RayAnna Ausley; 15 great grandchildren, and one on the way.

The family would like to thank Covenant Care Hospice of Marianna, FL for their devoted love and care.

Pallbearers will be Todd Ausley, Jason Berry, Jo Curry, Doyle Majors, Ralph Harris, and Kurt Marsh.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Dady, Dylan Pipe, Tyler Walker, Brad Horne, Donnie Steverson, and Rodney Pope.
