OBITUARY FROM HOLMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS OF OZARK   ~   334‑774‑5348

Mr. Clifford Vann Joyce, 77, of Ariton, died Monday evening, April 6, 2015, in Dale Medical Center.  Funeral services will be graveside 3:30 P. M. Thursday, April 9, 2015, in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Ozark from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.  Mr. Joyce was born November 13, 1937 in Pearson, Georgia to the late Warren Alonzo Joyce and Stella Thigpen Joyce.  He worked at Fort Rucker from 1955 until 1973 when he joined The Air Guard.  He was the bus driver for all Ariton sporting events.  Mr. Joyce was a member, Sunday school teacher, and serving Deacon of Center Ridge Baptist Church.  He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and loving his grandchildren.  He was a veteran serving in the United States Air National Guard in Montgomery and Birmingham for fifteen years.  Survivors include his wife, Virginia Vickers Joyce of Ariton; one daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Bryan Gill of Ariton; one son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Melane Joyce of Ozark; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sylvia Joyce of Lincolnton, Georgia; grandchildren, GraceLynn Joyce Gill, Tyler Henderson, Shelby N. Smith, Jordan and Hayes Floyd.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Crohn’s Foundation of America, P. O.
