Mrs. Catherine Jeanette Robinson Carpenter, age 93, passed away on September 21, 2021 at home in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

 

Mrs. Carpenter was born November 7^th, 1927 in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Buck and Gladys Tew Robinson. Catherine was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and puzzles.

 

Mrs. Carpenter is preceded in death by her husband Rotain Carpenter, daughter Marie Sherman, son Andy Avant, brothers Richard Robinson, Reamus Robinson, and Coleman Robinson.

 

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her son Tim Strickland (Linda) of Tampa, Florida, daughter-in-law Denise Avant, five grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, ten great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild, sister Betty Bailey, Brenda Robinson (Randy).

 

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00- 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Sardis Cemetery; 1791 County Road 133, Abbeville, Alabama 36310.

 

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at  Sardis Cemetery, with Reverend George Bryan officiating.

 

A Memorial Service will be held at Westside Baptist Church; 295 US 331, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 at a later date, with Reverend Randy Nelson officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Westside Baptist  Church at PO Box 276, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435 or to the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 1591 County Road 133, Abbeville, Alabama 36310.
