He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1961. After graduation he served our country as a Military Intelligence Airman in the US Air Force. After his service, he was employed at Fort Rucker with several Federal Contractors for over 40 years

In the Spring and Summer, you would find him working in his vegetable garden. He enjoyed sharing his harvest with everyone.

Merrell loved spending time with his grandchildren, better known as Pop to them. He loved teaching them about life’s experiences.

If Merrell could Speak today, he would say be happy as I go out to sea. If others wonder why I’m missing, just tell them I’ve gone fishing.
