Olen Horace Johns, a resident of Daleville, AL, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was 89 years old.
Mr. Johns was born in Bennett, Florida to the late Lloyd and Dovie Rogers Johns. He joined the US Air Force and served for over 20 years. Following his retirement, he was employed with Civil Service as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Johns was a member of the DAV, VFW, and the Enterprise American Legion.
Mr. Johns was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Angelita Candelaria Johns, his children, Eddie Shannon and Marty Johns.
Survivors include his children, Phillip Ferguson, David (Sherry) Ferguson, and Cynthia Ferguson; his 8 grandchildren; his 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 73, PO Box 310386, Enterprise, AL 36331.
