ABBEVILLE. . .Oscar Lamar Blair, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021. He was 48.

   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Abbeville.

   Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity in the name of Oscar Blair.
   Oscar Blair was born in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and was reared in Henry County, between Haleburg and Shorterville. He lived in the Abbeville area all his lifetime. Oscar was a member of the Shorterville Baptist Church. He was employed as a carpenter and roofer in residential construction.

   Surviving relatives include his wife, Shanna Wilkerson Blair; seven sons, Taylor Blair, David Hancock, Jacob Hancock, Austin Garrett, Jacob Garrett, Matthew Nowlin and Michael Martell; four daughters, Christian Hancock, Kelsey Nowlin, Randi Barron and Allison Martell; his parents, David and Ila Chambers Blair; a sister, Candy Harper; special nieces, Rebecca Harper and Kristena Head; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Sandra Yoemans; sister-in-law, Hilary Yoemans; brothers-in-law, Joshua and Jonathan Wilkerson; great-nieces, Kyla Head and Elara Head.
