ANNISTON, ALABAMA…Pastor Carl A. Keener, a resident of Anniston, Alabama, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Anniston. He was 65.

   Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 6, 2021, in the Midland City Cemetery with Pastor Doug MacCormack officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Holman-Headland Mortuary and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

   Pastor Keener was born and reared in Pikeville, Tennessee, son of the late Carl Sylvester Keener and Sarah Hestel Summers Keener. He was a wonderful Christian man who loved serving the Lord and helping others. He pastored the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Anniston of over 32 years, touching many hearts and lives through his ministry. He also drove a truck for Marjam in Anniston for many years. Pastor Keener will be remembered for his kind spirit and his loving nature and will be greatly missed. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sam Neeley, Elizabeth Summers, Larry Keener and Helen Brock.

   Left to cherish the memory of Pastor Keener are his wife of 34 years, Judy Parker Keener of Midland City; his siblings, Mary Summers, Elbert Neeley, Glenn Keener, Jimmy Keener, Lonnie Keener, Thomas Neeley and Katrina Keener.
