ASHFORD. . .Patricia Ann Farmer Knight, a resident of Ashford, died Tuesday night, August 2, 2022, in Hartford Health Care. She was 81.

  Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022, in the Ashford City Cemetery with Minister Samuel Walker officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

  Mrs. Knight was born and reared in Slocomb, daughter of the late Archie B. Farmer and Tressie Lee Woodham Farmer. She lived in Ashford most of her lifetime. Mrs. Knight was a member of the Enon Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was formerly employed by the Ashford Piggly-Wiggly and Efurd’s Grocery in Avon. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus Knight and two sisters, Sue Roney and Charlotte Jones.

  Surviving relatives include two daughters, Sharon Hughes (Terry), Dothan; and Sheila Dawsey, Ashford; a son, Ashley Knight (Jennifer), Ashford; five grandchildren, Tyler Hughes (Stevie), Hunter Knight (Payten), Tanner Greggs, Weston Knight and Taylor Greggs; several nieces and nephews.

  Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons.
