Patricia “Patti” Jayne McGuire, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at her home.

Patti was born October 18, 1960 in Illinois to Robert Erin and Patricia Jean McGuire. She was born and raised in the Chicago area until she moved to Alabama in 2002, where she became very active in service-work and community fellowship. She battled many health issues and overcame the odds many times throughout her life, and showed her loved ones that miracles are possible.

Patti is preceded in death by her father, Robert McGuire; her grandparents, William and Jayne Sharp (nee Mellies), Carl and Helen Cooper (nee Hennessey); her brother, Robert Carl; her granddaughter, Lilyanna Grace; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia Dean (nee Cooper); her sister, Kathleen (Andrew) Depre; 3 daughters, Cory (Mark) Hopper, Katie (Kenneth) Butler, and Kelly Mares; 4 grandchildren, Caleb, Cheyenne, Jayne, and Kathryn; 4 nieces, Kristina, Jessica, Danielle and Joanne; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear and special friends.

With regards to Patti’s wishes, a celebration of life with a tree planting service to follow will be held in the spring. More details will follow at a later date.
