Patrick Sean Holliway of Valley, AL passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021.  He was 48.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until service time on Thursday.  Masks and social distancing are requested to attend the service.

Patrick graduated in 2004 from Troy State University with a Bachelors of Applied Science Degree. 

He served in the US Army from February 2002-2005 as an enlisted soldier.  In 2005 he was selected for Officer Candidate School and upon completion he was commissioned as a 2LT.  He served as an officer in several positions at Ft. Benning, GA until his medical retirement as a Captain in July 2015.

Following retirement, he served as an operations research analyst for a civilian contractor company at Fort Benning, and was then selected for a similar position as a GS-12 federal civil service employee.  He was in this position at the time of his death. 

He was awarded numerous Army medals/awards to include the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal with V device.

He served one 18 month combat deployment to Iraq.  He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Parachutist Badge and Air Assault Badge during his service in the active duty Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother Dauphinne Holliway.

Survivors include his sons, Clark Holliway, Caleb Holliway and Brenden Hoppe; his father, Colonel Robert Holliway and Step-mother, Gail Holliway; sister, Elizabeth Keithley and brother-in-law, MSgt Scott Keithley.
