Mrs. Patsy Ann Bennett of Geneva, Alabama went home to be with her lord and savior, Thursday, February 18, 2021, after a long battle with Parkinson’s. She was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday, February 21,2021, at First Baptist Church in Geneva with Dr. Edwin Scott and Steve Skidmore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

The family kindly requests those who are planning to attend the services to please wear a facial covering and practice social distancing due to the ongoing pandemic.

Flowers will be accepted or the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Geneva First Baptist Church, 309 S. Commerce St. Geneva, AL 36340.

Mrs. Bennett was born on March 21,1939 in Butler County, Alabama. Patsy and her family moved to Geneva in 1971, during which time she was employed with Geneva City Schools. In 1985 she and her husband Ed moved to Andalusia. The next several years were spent having great adventures, traveling all over the United States with their friends. They returned to Geneva in 2003. Patsy was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was very dedicated to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edward Bennett; two sons, Mickey Bennett (Angie) and Ricky Bennett (Cathy) of Geneva, one daughter, Sarah Bennett, Dothan; five grandchildren; Callie Brooks (Christopher) Dothan, Brent Bennett, Geneva, Bridgett White (Randal) Geneva, Brooks Bennett (Whitney) Slocomb, Jillian DeMatteo (Jake) Tybee Island, GA; 10 great grandchildren: Brady and Baylee Bennett (Headland) ,Hallie, Quinn and Maryn Brooke Bennett (Slocomb), Cooper and Evie White (Geneva), Annbelle and Jolie McCannon, (Brunswick, GA) and AJ Davis (Tybee, GA).

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Greenwood Place Assisted Living and Southern Care Hospice.
