PAUL EDNA SANDLIN ‘POLLY’ PEEL

Ms. Paul Edna Sandlin ‘Polly’ Peel, age 96, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 27, 2021, at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center in Bonifay.  She was born November 8, 1924, in Alexandria, Tennessee to the late Paul Edward Sandlin and Lerion Donald Henley Sandlin.  In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Peel, Sr. and one brother, Howell Sandlin.

Polly was born and raised in Alexandria, TN and graduated high school from Watertown, TN.  She met her husband while attending a business school in Nashville and later moved to Bonifay where they opened Peel Funeral Home in 1948 and continued operating until their retirement. 

Ms. Peel is survived by one son, Herb Peel, Jr. and wife Sharon of Bonifay, FL; one daughter, Patricia Ann Peel of Chipley, FL; three grandchildren, Tim Fussell, Veronica Peel, and Justin Peel and wife Catherine; two great-grandsons, Judson Peel and Jetson Peel; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Bonifay Cemetery.  Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 311 North Waukesha Street, Bonifay, FL 32425.
