Paul Whigham, a resident of Kinston, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020.  He was born June 27, 1937, in the Lowery community.  After graduating from Samson High School in 1955, he played minor league baseball for a while before starting his career in forestry.  Most of his life was spent in the Phenix City area where he worked as a forester for a private company before starting his own timber management company.

He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Entice Weeks Whigham and younger brother Phil.  He is survived by four sisters:  Maxine McManus (Ben), Thelia Kelly (Britt), Kay Bryan (Bob), and Emily Powell, as well as several nieces and nephews.
