Mrs. Paulette Rowell Hitchcock of Black, AL passed away on Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Greg Hitchcock and Chaplain Dylan Jewell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Paulette was born in Rockmart, GA on April 12th, 1948 to the late Jack and Ruby Nell Rowell. She was the eldest of six children. She enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles of all kinds, Genealogy, and watching her favorite shows. Most of all though, Paulette enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving Wife and Mother, and an awesome Granny who loved getting ‘neck sugars’ from her babies, building forts and playing video games with them. She was beautiful, smart, and fun.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Mikey Rowell, baby sister, Susan Rowell, grandson, David Lee Curtis Hitchcock, great granddaughter, Raelei D. Boyd.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Curtis Hitchcock, sons, Dewayne (Tammy) and Terry (Stephanie) Hitchcock; daughter, Regina (Fritz) Dittus; grandchildren, Curtis James Dover, Christina Copanic, Amanda Hitchcock, Aimee Boyd, Stephanie Jewell, Kayla Dey, and Chase Dittus; great grandchildren, Curtis, Aria and Laurel, Camryn, Payton, Cooper, Jackson, and Corbin; one sister, Diane Meade, two brothers, Johnny and Bobby Rowell.
