Peggy Ann Armstrong, a U. S. Army Veteran and current U. S. Postal rural route carrier, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 7, 2011 at her home in Enterprise, Alabama at the age of 60.


 


          A funeral service will be held at 5:00 P.M., Monday, November 14, 2011 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until service time.  Burial will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.


 


          Peggy was a highly patriotic American, Roll Tide fan, and a very generous, giving person.  Not only a Sharpshooter and lover of life, but a very family oriented daughter, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all.  Truly the world has lost a bright light.


 


          She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel Armstrong, her father, Carmon Ammons, brothers Carl and Allen Ammons.      


 


          Survivors include one son, Jeremiah Armstrong (Nicole); two daughters, Rebecca Armstrong (Johnny); Rachel Chase (Michael); six grandchildren, Maya Tapia, Jasmine Chase, Alexander Tapia, Aidan Armstrong, Nadia Armstrong, Kaius Chase; her mother, Ruby Gregory; brothers, John, Ray, Jimmy, Charles and Billy Joe Ammon.
