HEADLAND. . .Peggy Woodham Harbert, a resident of Headland, died Friday morning, April 12, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. She was 81.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 15, 2019, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joel Laseter officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday in the mortuary chapel.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
            Mrs. Harbert was born in Midland City, daughter of the late Molton Woodham and Lina Tharpe Woodham. She lived near Headland most of her adult lifetime. Mrs. Harbert was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was retired from Sony Magnetic Products in Dothan. In earlier years, she was employed by Judy Bond Blouse Company in Columbia. Mrs. Harbert was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Floyd Harbert, a son, Kenneth Floyd Harbert, a sister, Evelyn Knight, and a brother, Edward Woodham.                                                                                                             Surviving relatives include two daughters, Teresa May (Joe), Webb, AL, and Toni Harbert, Headland; a son, Keith Harbert (Lisa), Midland City; two brothers, Mickey Woodham (Roma), Phenix City, and Tony Woodham (Cathy), Crystal River, FL;  seven grandchildren, Chelsea Gore (Phillip), Kenlie Benton (Jeremy), Ashley Wade (Kenny), Jordan Towns (Caleb), Haley Harbert (Britton Sims), Drew Harbert and Annaleigh Nowell; nine great-grandchildren, Skyler May (Hannah Williams), Avery Benton, Shaeleigh Gore, Addison Benton, Kole Wade, Jace Wade, Samuel Gore, Parker Towns and Paxton Towns; two great-great-granddaughters, Caroline May and Amelia May and one great-great-grandchild on the way, Pace Towns.
