LEVEL PLAINS. . .Penny Wilson Newton, a resident of Level Plains, died Tuesday May 14, 2019. She was 58.

There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Penny Newton was born in Pelham, Alabama and lived on Panama City Beach before moving to Level Plains. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Wilson, her mother, Betty Jean Blankenship Halstead, and a son, Adam Brogdon.

Surviving relatives include a son, Chad Brogdon, three sisters, Deborah Blankenship, Dothan; Becky Wyatt, Panama City Beach, FL; and Shannon Halstead, Daleville, AL; four brothers, Rex Wilson and Scott Wilson, both of Pelham, AL; Michael Jowers, Dothan; and Todd Halstead, Level Plains; two grandchildren, Gavin and Cole.
