Peter “Pete” Ray Morris of Geneva, AL passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. He was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Devco Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Baine and Rev. Jim Corley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Morris was born in Geneva County, AL on February 28, 1952 to the late Paul David and Willie Clide Adcock Morris. Pete enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music. He was a devout Christian who loved going to church and reading his bible daily. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He dedicated a night out of the week and would take them to go eat or do an activity of their choice. Mr. Morris was a devoted member of Devco Baptist Church where he taught the RA class for many years. He touched countless lives through that program.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Salverson; two brothers, William David Morris and James Lamar Morris.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debbie Morris; two daughters, Heather Morris Easterling, and Kelly Rae Morris Moffett; six grandchildren, Simmie Easterling, Jr., Dylan Easterling, Brianna “Annie” Davis, Colby Easterling, Ian Moffett, and Asia Moffett; four great grandchildren, Ross, Skylar, Carrson, and Elijah Easterling; five siblings, Judy Cochran, Betty Sharlene Andrade, Cheryl Irish, Timothy Morris, and Kenneth Morris; mother-in-law, Jeanette Clark; aunt, Merle Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.
