Phyllis Delaine Barnes Sanders of Kinston, AL passed away at Flowers Hospital on February 20, 2022. She was 62 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Phyllis was born in Opp, AL on March 12, 1959 to the late Wayne Alfred and Thear Mae Spann Barnes. Phyllis was a nurse by profession and worked many years in Labor and Delivery. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, sewing, and quilting. She was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved riding with the patriot guard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Barnes.

She is survived by her husband, Paul P. Sanders of Kinston, AL; three children, Wesley Damon Anderson (Michelle) of Loganville, GA, Jessica Anderson Roberts (Matthew) of Fitzpatrick, AL, and Nicky Wayne Anderson (Brandi) of Kinston, AL; five grandchildren, Abbie Anderson, Hunter Anderson, Morgan Anderson, Addison Roberts, and Marshall Roberts; many special aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
