Rafael Francisco Filipone Sr. of Geneva, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the age of 82.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 Monday, August 17, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens here in Geneva with Rev. Zachary Greenwell officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.

Rafael was born September 20, 1937 in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua to the late Felipe Filipone and Socorro Suarez.  He was a long haul truck driver for many years.  Rafael was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He loved to dance and had a sense of humor like no other.

Survived by; wife of 51 years: Maria Filipone; four children: Rafael Filipone Jr., Ivania Villarino, Imara Filipone and Fatina Fillipone.
