ABBEVILLE…Reba Williams Alford, a resident of Live Oak, Florida, died Friday morning, March 12, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Thomas Mill Creek on Lake Eufaula. She was 84.


   Graveside services will be held at 12:30 P.M. (EDT) Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, in Live Oak, Florida, with Reverend James Carrier officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuaries & Cremations is in charge of local arrangements. A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. (EDT) Tuesday at Daniels Funeral Home


   Mrs. Alford was born in Newton, Alabama, daughter of the late James Penn Williams and Marie Payne Williams. She spent her early years in Newton and Napier Field, Alabama and spent most of her adult life in Lakeland and Live Oak, Florida, before moving to Abbeville in 2018. She retired as a Cashier from W.B. Howlands Company in Live Oak. Mrs. Alford was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church also in Live Oak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leonard Alford, Sr., and two brothers.


   Surviving relatives include two daughters, Mary Gamble and Barbara Roberts (Lester), all of Abbeville; two sons, Leonard Alford (Lee), Lakeland, FL; and David Alford, Live Oak, FL; four sisters and two brothers; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
