R?ebecca Jane Ford Bradshaw of Hartford, AL, passed away at her home on October 18, 2022. Mrs. Bradshaw was born on February 15, 1952, in Birmingham, AL. She was adopted and taken home from the hospital by her parents Dewey and Blanche Ford. She was a 1970 graduate of Ensley High School, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montevallo in 1973, and a Master of Science in Education from Troy State University 1977. Mrs. Bradshaw spent over 30 years as an elementary school teacher in Dothan, Coffee Springs, and Slocomb. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she spent many years serving in the children and youth ministries. One of her greatest joys was to volunteer every summer at Vacation Bible School. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Blanche Ford.


She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Derrel Bradshaw; daughter, Lisa Warren (Key) of Pelham, AL; sons, Jason Bradshaw (Heather) of Hartford, AL, and David Bradshaw (Courtney) of Opelika, AL; 8 grandchildren, Collier, Anna, Lily, Andrew, Gavin, Madelyn, Jeremiah, and Alexis; and several nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford, AL. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with pastors David Bradshaw and Stacy Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home.


Flowers will be accepted in her honor or donations may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church building fund or to the Gideons.
