Rebecca “Becky” Mitchell Thompson of Westville, FL passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. She was 80 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Poplar Head Community Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mrs. Thompson was born September 7, 1940 to the late Theodus and Bessie Lee Mitchell. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Becky enjoyed fishing, quilting, and putting up vegetables from the garden. She also enjoyed taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Mitchell, and James “Jim” Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Doferice D. Thompson; three sons, Michael Thompson (Lisa) of Bonifay, FL, David Thompson of Westville, FL, Stacey Lee Thompson (Carrie) of Graceville, FL; one daughter, Michelle Strickland (Jason) of Westville, FL; seven grandchildren,; six grandchildren; four siblings, Ruth Vickers of Bonifay, FL, Ray Neal Mitchell (Ellen) of Bonifay, FL, Marvin Mitchell (Marilyn) of Westville, FL, and Betty Sue Johnson of Bonifay, FL; and a number of special nieces and nephews.
