DOTHAN…Rebecca Gamble Prevatt, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, at her home. She was 57.

   Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the Cottonwood City Cemetery with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the service. Social distancing and masks will be observed.

   Rebecca Prevatt was born and reared in the Cedar Springs Community, near Ashford, daughter of the late Luther Hill Gamble and Miriam Drinkwater Gamble. She was a graduate of Houston County High School and later moved to Dothan in 1995. Rebecca was formerly employed as a chef with several restaurants. She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Rebecca was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Gamble.

   Surviving relatives include her husband, Ronnie Earl Prevatt; four sisters, Pat Ganey, San Antonio, TX; Peggy Blocker (Darril), Newton; Myra McCraney, Ashford; and Carolyn Jernigan, Dothan; two brothers, Dennis Gamble (Earlene), Cottonwood; and Wayne Gamble (Carrie), Headland; numerous nieces and nephews.
