Mr. Reubin Preachers of Samson, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was 96 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Hubert McWaters and Reverend Dr. James Preachers officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Preachers was born in Samson, AL on January 16, 1927, to the late Bunk and Willie Wilks Preachers. Mr. Reubin retired with over 30 years as an Aircraft Mechanic at Ft. Rucker, AL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Beatrice Bowdoin, Eunice Utter, and Iris Knowles; six brothers, Ralph, Bascum, Alton, Lamar, R.L., and Connie Ray Preachers.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Estis Preachers of Samson. AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tim Ward of Samson, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Debbie Nowling Preachers of Samson, AL; grandchildren, Douglas Russell and his wife, Jessica of Enterprise, AL, Deleana Ralston and her husband, Brandon of Headland, AL, Dylan Russell of Chancellor, AL, and Guy Ward of Geneva, AL; great granddaughter, Vivian Russell of Enterprise, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family whom he loved dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Preachers, Jerry Preachers, Robert Preachers, Dusty Preachers, Douglas Russell, Dylan Russell, Eric Alford, and Clay King.
