PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA. . .Rex Allen Danford, a resident of Panama City, Florida, died early Wednesday morning, March 6, 2024, in Vitas Healthcare in Panama City. He was 71.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2024, in the Blackwood Cemetery, near Headland, Alabama, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Rex Danford was born in Dothan, Alabama and was reared in Columbus, Georgia. He lived in Plant City, Florida before moving to Panama City in 2016. Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Calloway Danford.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Cassie Parker (Justin) and a son, Jeremiah Danford (Zola) all of Mississippi; his father, Allen Danford, Jr., Panama City, Florida; a sister, Sandy Webb (Victor), Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Chloe Fitzhugh, Jordan Parker, Kaelynn Danford, Joseph Danford, Elijah Danford, Faye Danford and Tynsley; a niece, Angie McConnell, nephews, Tosh Webb (Shelly) and Chase Webb (Robyn), great-nephews, Cooper Webb and Davis Webb.
